Vendicari is an enchanted place. Fine sand, rocky inlets, crystal water attract not only who loves the sea. Hiking, birdwaching, snorkeling are the main activities for those who love also the nature. For a dive into the summer nightlife, do not miss the village of Marzamemi, famous for its tuna-fishing and the Arab "casuzze" ("little houses").
Just outside Noto, you can visit the ruins of the ancient city, destroyed by the earthquake at the end of the XVII century. The Door of the Mountain and the Hermitage of Santa Maria della Provvidenza are still intact. Going down towards the coast, you can see 5,000 square meters of beautiful mosaics flooring in the Villa Romana del Tellaro (IV BC). Another important ancient building is Villa Romana del Casale - Piazza Armerina, whose mosaics and frescoes are in excellent conditions.
